Immigration Day
Students:
Please post your comments, reflections and feelings about your Immigration Day experience. Tell what it was like to be processed at Ellis Island.
Immagration day was so much fun i rubbed off my mental defect chalk thing and snuk monkey in my sock when i was walking home that day an old lady just stoped and staired at me then I yelled at her in Italian...
I thought immigration day was really fun. Even though the lines were long and it took a long time, I still enjoyed it. It was very fun and I was very happy not only our class participated.
i loved immigration day! it was so much fun but it was really boring in the sick bay. we eventually got out and got right back in line. i would love to enjoy that day again.
hey yalllll, OMG Immagrationday was superawesome. Everybody looked so relistic. And I was quite impressed by my outfit and my friend's outfit were fabulous. The food was great but I got mad when some adults started eating before we could. I was laughing when some kids were put in the sick bay. mr. T was a very mean inspector though. knoe effense.
I thought that Immigration Day was a great experience because we actually went through what the immigrants did back then. Also, we dressed up and had papers to collect which made it seem more real. Waiting on the lines was very boring and I felt like I was going to stay there forever! I had a great time, though, and I would love to do something like that again in the future. All in all I had a great time becoming a citizen and coming to America.
Immigration Day was very fun because we got to see everyone dressed up and I thought it was really funny seeing people get chalk marks on them. Especially that one person who got a X because he had nothing in his luggage. - Christine Wang <3
I finally figured how this thing works out!! Anyway, I thought immigration day was so much fun!! i got in the sick bay but we bought Mr.T out!! I got seperated from my family 2 times and i was only 5 and it was hard!!
I thought that Immigration Day was fun to experience. I felt like a real immigrant when I talked to one of the parents in Russian and they didn't have a clue to what I said. Standing in line in a crowded place wasn't as fun as looking at a confused face, but it made it seem like we were really on Ellis Island. Not the whole day was as real as I thought it would be. I think that more students should have spoken in a different language and have some things in their baggage. Other than that, I thought that Immigration Day was a blast!
I thought immigration day was exiciting and my dad did to. My friend though gave us two X's but i wiped them off. We also got sent to the back and my friend almost didn't make it. The endind was so worth the wait though and I thought it was well planned.
Immigration day was really fun but i went first so i didn't really wait.. i wished it was harder to get into the country than it was........... but I still had alot of fun!
IMMIGRATION DAY WAS SO FUN!!!I loved it because Marvin shoved a baby in his suitcase and they said it had to go through homeland security. He got rejected!!!!!!

IMMAGRATION DAY WAS AWSOME even through I got an x on my shirt BUT STILL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought immigration day was really fun. Even though the lines were long and it took a long time, I still enjoyed it. It was very fun and I was very happy not only our class participated.
